Bf 9 1/2 month old - not enough milk in the evenings?

I am still breastfeeding my dd who is 9 1/2 months but she's starting yelling for more in the evenings when I put her down even though I am not doing anything different, or feeding for less time. I am feeding 3 x a day and she sleeps from 7 - 6 so no night feeds. Any ideas or suggestions? This evening I ended up giving her a bit of cows milk in a beaker to quiet her down as I didn't have anything left. Or do you think she just wanted more comfort than normal and just wanted to suck for longer? She sucks her thumb so normally settles down very quickly but she's been doing this for the past week and it is getting worse. Btw I have been stressed this week as my dh has been away for the week and I've also been potty training ds so maybe not eating so well as normal as concentrating on surviving! - maybe that affects things? Help! Don't want to give up yet!

Don't give up then. Smile
Just sit back with her, relax, and let her feed for a bit longer.
Prob. a combination of food and comfort, esp. at stressful time as you say.

Well done!!

think you doing well and second moondog
my dd is 12months, breastfed and although she generally sleeps through we have periods (like this week) when she will wake up several times and want to be fed... oh well i just gi with it.

be kind to yourself and take it easy, but i guess if you are stressed you probably long for some peace and quiet, hope it improves soon

When my DH was away for a week my DS was the same. I think that my stress wasn't helping. Also, is she getting clingy at all? I found that my DS got clingy about this age and even though he was full up, he still wanted comfort and didn't want me to leave him in his bed alone.

My DS had a fairly hefty growth spurt when he was around 10 months & I have read messages from others who found the same.
