Still in hospital so cosleeping not possible. ELCS was 3:30pm Thursday. She has fed for most of the day today including the past 1.5 hours. She's dozing on the boob but cries of removed.

I just have to stick it out until my milk comes in, right? She'll likely calm down then?

Yawn

happened to me yesterday. was a long sore day and night. luckily our hospital was supportive of cosleepinh so I dozed with her while I listened to other babies screaming and mothers talking . the joy of the on ward.
big hug you will get there

Have you got one of the cots that clips on the side of the bed? If not ask for one. I have a section as well and they never gave me one till day 2, and I was agony at first getting up and down to a non sleeping baby. So the side cot was a welcome surprise.
I then lay down feeding right beside the cot so baby was nearly in it, and went to sleep and just ignored the hospital, they will brandish leaflets about how bad co sleeping is and cot death, but I would never have got any sleep either.
Baby at 3 weeks currently sleeping in his cot just now, and have only needed to co sleep once at home.

Your baby your rules.

Managed to make it through to 2:45 without losing my sanity. Then she slept for 1.5 hours which was utter bliss. This morning I have started to get milk. The look on her wee face was hilarious when she discovered this!

Thank you for your help. Things felt a little hopeless last night.

It's amazing how joyous such little sleep is, my milk never came in until I left hospital, so day 4.

Brilliant yours has come in now. They are so pleased, and what a difference after they have been working so hard to get it to come in.

oh well done! youve made it. I'm sure you are through the worst night. my first night at home has been good - she just slept with me. I'm up now with pain but prefer that to screaming baby + pain!

are you going home today do you think?

JollyHappyGiant · 24/08/2013 08:45

I am so lucky to have my milk come in so quickly. Perhaps feeding DS for 20mo meant my body had a better idea what it was doing.

That sounds fairly positive, poocatcher, fingers crossed your pain reduces quickly.

It looks like we'rd getting home this afternoon. DD has PUT ON 30g since yesterday so obviously all this feeding has had a positive effect :) I'm delighted!

Co sleeping in hospital is possible. My hospital helped settle ds4 safely in bed with me so I could cosleep when I had to stay in 3 nights after his birth.
