I thought it was a one off thing when he saw my friend feeding her new baby, but since then (a few weeks ago) he keeps asking for "milkies" or "mummy milk". I explained that there isn't any milk there any more and even let him try once to show him that the milk is gone, but he keeps asking for it and it's starting to make me feel uncomfortable.

I'm not pregnant and not likely to be any time soon so I am quite glad about this because I really don't want to start again. But how can I stop him from asking? I just now offered to "play" babies with him and he pretended to have some milk but I kept my top fully on and didn't let him open his mouth so there was no contact. Then I sat him on my lap and "burped" him while saying "Wow, well done, good baby!" etc enthusiastically which he thought was hilarious (probably because I usually tell him off for burping on purpose!)

I have tried explaining that he can have loads of great things that smaller children don't have, like milkshake and his superhero t-shirt etc. We try to have lots of cuddles etc. I'm just a little bit concerned I suppose. Is it normal for them to want to start again months after they have stopped?

I would stop explaining and just say 'sorry, there isn't any'. Do it is a very matter of fact way- repeat when necessary.
