I stopped BFing my 10 month old DS 2 wks ago, we had cut down to 2 feeds a day from 9 months and my supply seemed to dwindle very rapidly. Within 2 weeks of cutting down I stopped altogether as he was taking 3oz of formula on top of emptying the boobs, and it all seemed a bit pointless.
my DH and I had sex last night for the first time in AGES since i stopped BFing and this morning I have woken up with sore lumpy boobs which seem to be leaking milk. I'm hand expressing to relieve it, but it's all a bit of a surprise and I wondered if anyone else had experienced this?
Maybe it's been building up for a while and I am linking it to last night in error... i'm a bit confused. I'm sure I would have noticed though as it is painful.
Am actually a bit emotional about it as I loved BFing so much. Never thought I would get nostalgic about a blocked duct though... am off to sniffle into my coffee and soak some flannels in hot water which i hope will help relieve the pain a bit!
