Ds2 is 14mo and ebf, usually 3-4 times in 24 hours. He's always fed really well however the last couple of days he's been teething really badly (swollen gums, drooling, stuffing hands in mouth so pretty sure it's teething) and he's completely off his solids but won't bf properly either. He has 6 teeth at top and 2 on bottom.
He's obviously hungry, goes eagerly to latch on and then screams in pain and throws his head back.
I'm sitting here expressing to see if he'll take some in a cup but tbh even trying to get him to take calpol/nurofen is a battle at the moment as he doesn't want anything other than his thumb/cuddly toy in his mouth. It's the same with food - he goes eagerly for it and then starts screaming and pulls it out of his mouth. I don't remember ds1 being like this and I bf him til he was 18mths.
Any suggestions to help my poor hungry exhausted (not sleeping with the pain/heat/hunger) boy?
Thank you!
