In Dec I am due my 2nd set of twins. I currently EBF OD my 9mo twins. I tandem feed constantly and would love to do this with new arrivals but I don't plan on stopping or weaning my boys.

Any helpful tips and advice you can give? Also, how do you do it? Thank you in advance.

Also, the boys aren't on a routine (if that makes a difference. Should I put them on one?)

You are going to have 4 children, 14 months and under! Wow and congratulations.

I don't haven't particularly useful advice as I didn't tandem fed but just wanted to wish you well, as I had two under 17 months and thought that was hardwork Smile

I would say though that as your first DTs get older they will probably settle into a bit more of a regular routine anyway, as mealtimes become more prominent and the naps less frequent. I didn't have DS1 in a routine at first but probably from about nine months onwards one started to emerge. This was quite useful when DS2 came along as it meant I always sort of knew what DS1 would be doing so it could help me manage the demands of a newborn e.g. if it was approaching naptime I knew that I could give DS2 a top up feed then a longer one was DS1 was down.

DS1 used to get quite jealous at first when I BF DS2, and even tried to pull him off a couple of times. It might help to set aside a particular time for the older twins to feed. Anyway, hopefully someone with more practical experience will be along to help.

Good luck.

Thank you, mrslyman.

I have 2 other dc and they settled into their own routine around 1 but they also self weaned so this is a new exciting but daunting experience! :)
