Breastfed baby/ green mucus poo/ crying episodes. Help!

My LO is 14 weeks and for the past 10 days has had green mucusy poo and lots of crying episodes where she can't be soothed at all. She is ebf (due to her refusing the occasional bottle of formula) and unlatches many times, crying during a feed. She feeds well at night and usually falls back to sleep at end of feed. During the day she never falls asleep on the boob and no longer has the milk drunk look she used to. We went to see GP who prescribed gaviscon for silent reflux but I'm not convinced that's the problem.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar? It is heartbreaking to think my girl is so unhappy a lot of the time.

It could be the start of teething? My DS is FF but from 3 months has had regular bouts of green mucousy poos when he's having teething episodes?

Not wanting to feed is also a classic teething sign - ie to suck is sore on gums. Have you tried giving her some Paracetemol/ibuprofen to see if that calms her down/eases the pain.

You can give liquid but suppositories work even faster.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did wonder teething as she is very dribbly and constantly chomping on something. Had already decided to give paracetamol a try when she next gets really upset and see if it makes any difference.

I hate to say it but your symptoms sound exactly like my refluxy baby.

No blood I don't think but will examine more closely and a double check.
Spoke to a midwife at BF support group today who thinks she has maybe had a virus a couple of weeks ago and says once green nappies start they can go in for quite a while.

I was told that it can mean colic, which could explain the distress she is experiencing. This might be wrong, but just thought I would pass on what hv said x

Spoke with midwife at BF support group yesterday. She thinks its more of a sign that she has had a wee virus about 7-10 days ago. Also said that green pop can take a while to go so not to worry about that too much. With regards to unlatching during feeds, she thinks LO is trying to trigger further let downs. Since she managed her first roll yesterday she has been much more settled- maybe she was getting frustrated!? Thanks for all your suggestions x
