What bottles are best for BF baby?

I'm currently pregnant with baby #3.

I did 2 weeks BF with my 1st (DD) and then changed to FF.

With my 2nd baby I BF for 8 months. I think we left it too long in introducing a bottle and my DS would not accept EBM from a bottle until eventually at 8 months after trying a whole range of different bottles.

I'm expecting our 3rd baby and plan to breast feed again, but when we look back, my DH admits to enjoying being more involved with feeding our DD, so I plan on introducing EBM earlier but I really don't know which bottles would be best. It was tough at times with DS so I would love it if DH could do feeds too, so I can pop out with friends some evenings etc

I've read that a slow release teat would be best, will it say on the box if it's a slow flow?

Would you be able to recommend a brand, are some better than others or all pretty much the same?

Just trying to be prepared as much as possible really and it's been a while now as DD is 9 & DS is 7.

I've got both types of the Avent bottles (natural and classic) and they seem good, he's happy anyway. The natural ones are supposed to mimic the milk flow just like breastfeeding but we've had no problems at all with either type. Hope this helps!

We like Medela calma bottles. After using avent I found my DD sucked really hard on me. Medela, much less so.

I was given a pack of mam anti-colic bottles. The smallest size with the slowest teat are much slower than the tommee tippee bottle and teat that came with my breast pump.
They also had a dummy that matched the shape of their teat which I used ( and have bought some spare dummies in that shape)

Tbh, it probably depends on the baby! We went through so many bottles with DS1 as he would not take to it at all as he was ebf. DS2 would drink from anything when we were having problems with bf as he clearly preferred the bottle to my boob!
Having said that, I do think dr browns are good as the first/slow flow teet really does seem slower than others that we have tried which I find mirrors the length of time more closely that he was taking to bf (he is now ff at 12 weeks)

Thank you for all your advice.

ladypop dr browns was the 'magic bottle' that my DS took after trying so many others.

Think I need to have a good look around at the smaller size bottles & slow flow teats.
