Breastfeeding 25 month old-no period yet?

I wonder if anyone can share any similar experiences. I am breastfeeding my 25 month old a couple of times during the day and 4/5/6 times per night. I have yet to have a return of my periods and I am thinking about trying for baby number 2...

Hi, just to add my experiences - I'm 41, gave birth Feb 2011, and have breastfed and co-slept with dd since. Feeds are usually, though not exclusively, early evening and through the night. Very recently had my first period as dd hit 2 1/2. Had reconciled myself to the fact that it would never show up again.....of course when it did, it was at the most inconvenient time and place (I was away at a conference, it was in the middle of the night, and of course I hadn't thought to pack anything)....

Well AF arrived! DD is 25.5 months and I didn't do anything to encourage its return...it was obviously just time! I read somewhere that 25 months seems to be the magic number in terms of ecological breastfeeding and it was for me.

SerenDPDee-my DD was born in June 2011-have you/do you want to TTC again?
