I mean I guess it must be...but wtf?

I have one swollen, painful boob and DD wouldn't nurse that boob this evening and lo and behold the milk is horribly salty.

Is it mastitis?

Should I go to London in the morning?????

Could it just be a blocked duct? Whenever I had that it felt like I'd been punched, boob was red and hot too. Maybe try having a hot shower and hand expressing.
Chilled Cabbage leaves in the bra are said to be good fir relieving mastitis.
Hope you feel better soon

Thank you.

given I don't apparently have fever I think blocked duct maybe 'all' it is, although bugger me it hurts...keeping me awake etc.

also some chunks of milk were coming out...TMI!

Absolutely! I had full on mastitis when dd was 2 and a bit, red hot breast with pus and blood, and body uncontrollably shaking. Up til then, bf had been incident free. Get checked out and the right antibiotic if needs be, it's miserable. Hope you're through it now and feeling better.
