Caffiene intake to help an EBF baby with reflux?

Has anyone had success cutting out caffiene to help with this? DD is 10 weeks old. Generally a cheerful baby but she has reflux. I noticed she was much better Friday and yesterday and didn't need gaviscon when coincidentally I hadn't had much caffiene. Today I've had a few cups of tea and she's been really bad - very sicky, squealing and arching her back. She's responded to the gaviscon now but I just wondered if there's anything in it?

I did read its more significant if you didn't have much caffiene in pregnancy - I cut right down because it made my morning sickness worse!

Also any advice on how to cut it out - cold turkey gives me bad withdrawal symptoms!

I cut out caffeine with DS, just went cold turkey and put up with the symptoms but can understand you not wanting to do it that way.

Although I think it was just coincidence. DS had tongue tie and I think it was that causing the reflux like symptoms rather than anything I was eating or drinking Smile
