Mood wobbles during baby growth spurt?

I suffer with anxiety and now touches of depression (yay). With DS1 I was a mess but I've improved massively since the birth of DD1 nine weeks ago.

She's great, sleeps through etc but at six weeks and now at nine she's been up through the night for feeds which I presume is a spurt.

My mood really wobbles during these spurts which I'm putting down to hormones. Any one else?

Could be as simple as pure tiredness. If you are feeding more at night & unable to rest much during the day for feeding/older child wrangling etc, you will be more tired which will make your mood more variable. And given your history, you're understandably more sensitive/aware of it. Also, your LO is still v young, so your hormones will still be settling down.

Congrats on your DD.

Agree with chunky. Have you got a DH? Could he get up with the DC in the morning with the DC and let you get some more sleep. Know how tough sleep deprivation can be. Have you got someone to have DS for a bit in the day so that you can nap? If finances allow do things like your food shopping online and get a cleaner, even if its just for a few weeks Smile
