12 week old, EBF, feeds suddenly gone from 15 mins to an hour. Normal?

As the title said really. She had jabs this week and seemed to feed longer on that day after the jabs (one feed was over an hour!). In the two days since the jabs I've noticed the feeds are much longer than they were before. Is this normal? Could it be a growth spurt? Or comfort sucking maybe? Has anyone else experienced this?

Finding it a chore to have to sit still for so long for each feed when they used to be pretty quick.

Normal! Both mine did it. I think its comfort. They also sleep-fed to. That is they fall alseep and carry on feeding while sleeping. I co-slept and my ds2 and he would spend most of the night latched on!

Sound pretty normal to me too. Nit you want to speed things up try some breast compressions and if you are stuck on the sofa make sure you've got the remote, your phone and some drinks and snacks. Try to look on it as an opportunity to catch up on your favourite TV show or read a good book Smile

Thanks both. Don't recall this with DD1 and with this one, since about 3 weeks ( she is now 12) I've been used to 20 min feeds. I keep falling asleep while she is feeding! Hopefully just a phase that will pass!

If you are falling asleep at night, have you tried feeding lying down in bed? Its fine as long as you follow the bed sharing guidelines?
