any tips for expressing with hand pump

While DD was in NICU I was able to express using hand pump overnight and it worked fine, but am now trying to express again to make her baby rice etc and having no luck, I can only get the tiniest drips. I tried when she was feeding on the other breast and got slightly more, but is there any other tips that help?

The more relaxed you are, the easier it is. Also, make sure it's at a time when you have lots of milk anyway. I used to express in the morning when I woke up full of milk - DD on one side and pump on the other! Good luck.

Are you massaging them well before you start pumping?
