Dd 18months is biting me at every feed. Sometimes drawing blood. Today I have a bleeding nipple. I wanted to feed till she self weaned but my poor boobs cant take anymore. Plus im scared to feed dd its not the enjoyable close bonding experience it once was.

How are you dealing with it? Biting during a feed should be met with a delatch, a firm No biting, and baby being put on the floor or elsewhere away from you so they can't try to relatch. They do learn!

Ouch, you poor thing! If she's biting to the extent of drawing blood every feed, I think you're right, you have to stop. She might be ready for it by now, maybe that's partly the reason why she's biting?
I know when I stopped feeding DS1 at 23mo, it was because it was starting to feel uncomfortable (physically, I mean) and as though he was tugging at my boob - he stopped in 3d with no problem.

Good luck!

Thanks I take her off for 10 minutes if she bites. But if its bleeding I dont give it back. I have been doing this for months but she is still biting like mad. Its only the past day she has drawn blood. But I just dont enjoy feeding anymore.
