Not sure what to advise, hopefully someone will be along soon.

Have you tried nipple shields? If he is used to feeling the plastic of a bottle he might go suck on a shield on your nipple?

Shybairns · 21/03/2013 20:22

Sorry to put it bluntly but... are you shoving lots of your nipple in when he's really hungry for it?

I have to say though, after nearly 3 months I would be thinking of jacking in the pumping and just go to formula. You've had a bloomin good go at it.

You need a real life bfc, maybe google baby cafe and visit your nearest.

It's great that your baby is happy at the breast even if not feeding. babies can still latch at ths age and a skilled breastfeeding counsellor or lactation consultant could be a great help. Positioning help, use of shields, tt checks might all help.

I would add having thought on, that I know of a women who adopt babies mucch older than yours and teach them to bf.

I reccommend the la leche league.
