How to manage the change from bottle to beaker

I am hoping that you might be able to help. DD is nearly 1 and is v much attached to her bottle for milk. She will take water from an open cup & from a beaker - but just won't even try the same for milk. We tried at tea time and she got v upset. Do we just only offer milk in a beaker and remove the bottles completely (ie cold turkey approach) or is there another way??

I don't know. Our ds sounds exactly like yours. Personnally I'm going to try to do the cold turkey approach [cringe emoticon]

Had this trouble with dd. She would drink water & squash from a beaker but wouldn't drink milk at all from anything but the bottle. We got there by removing the teat & popping in a drinking straw & then progressed to putting the straw in a cup & eventually removing the straw.

Probably would have been quicker to go cold turkey.
