My DS2 8 MO has gastroenteritis and has been vomiting and has been having explosive nappies. He has basically gone off solids and only having bread every now and then, we have been trying dioralyte in a sippy cup as directed by the GP but was just wondering if anyone has an experience with EBF and if this helped it get better any quicker? Should I up my feeds again he was down to 5 with solids? Any thoughts much appreciated xx

breastmilk is brilliant for tummy bugs - try and up his feeds if you can

it rehydrates (even if he sicks some back up, it will be better than nothing), feeding is comforting, and it has antibodies to help clear up bug

hope he gets better soon Smile

Definitely up your feeds, just let him have as much and as often as he wants ad have a read of this.

Hope he feels better soon.
