Did anyone find Tesco branded nursing pads horrid?

Hi,

I'm still pregnant but been using breast pads to protect breasts and nipples. I tried Johnson brand which was great but a bit pricey. Then used Asda's own brand which were fine. Now bought Tesco own brand and suddenly my breasts are so itchy . Anyone experienced anything similar?

Yep, cheap and nasty feeling. I honestly liked asda own best of all, lanusol good but if you had a huge gush (sorry!) they felt awful. Trial and error I'm afraid as I suspect everyone different!

Johnsons ones best for me
Found them cheapest in waitrosr rabdomly also occasionally in pound shop
Asda ones second, but often out of stock
Generally I found shell shapes better than super thin folded styles, each to own though

yeah, the asda ones were crappy iirc.
i used reuasables the second time around, they got really soft with washing and were great.

i meant tesco ones not asda.

I found the Johnson ones stuck to my skin. Agree tesco were horrible. I liked tommee tippee the best, were pricey but I got loads when on half price offer.

tommee tippee or lansinoh here. Tried loads of others and had no success. I found Tesco ones always ended up sticking the sticky bit to my boob after a few hours!

I found all disposable pads awful. I bought shaped cotton ones.

Yes, tesco ones horrid and vile and plasticky. Asda ones far superior. Same applies to maternity pads I found.

Thank you ladies I thought I wasn't imagining it! Need to keep an eye put for reduced price on Tommi Tippee or Lasinoh.

Where do you buy reusable breast pads?

Have you tried lillypadz? They 're totally different to disposable or re-useable pads. They stop any leaks instead of absorbing the leak. They worked for me during pregnancy but then I suffered with over active let-down and lasinoh were the best (and showed less through my clothes than other brands). Jonsons work but stick to you leaving little fibres on your nipples, cheaper brands and re-useables just leaked totally.

you need a few of them to get buy and a little net to wash them in.

Sainsbury's own are very good. They're shaped liked Johnson's but much cheaper.

I found Tommy Tippee ones incredibly cheaply in Morrisons, they are so much better than anything else I tried. Quite Liked lansinoh but overpriced and massively overpackaged. I warning if you try Lilypadz, they gave me a terrible rash and the week I used then happened to be the same week I ended up on antibiotics for agonising mastitis, maybe no link but I wonder if there was!

Another vote for Tommee Tippee ones here but I also used Boots own brand which were a cheaper alternative and were good as well

Get cloth ones, apparently very soft and environmentally friendly.

Horrendous. Boots reusable were comfortable but useless if you're very leaky, particularly at night. My favourites were Johnson disposables.

Lasinoh for when I wanted something a bit more subtle or thought I was going to leak through. Reusable bamboo ones for the rest of the time (though I do still soak through these on occasion - but I leak a lot) Just search online for them.
