does this sound like a growth spurt or should I be worried?

DD is 11 weeks old, but was 5 weeks prem so her adjusted age is 6 weeks. She is breastfed.

Over the last couple of days she has suddenly started feeding more often - every 1-2 hours. She is usually a chilled out baby but has been very grumpy, and has gone back to pooing after every feed (she has been going once a day). Her poo has changed too, from the usual yellowish brown splodge to a bright yellow paste.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Sounds perfectly normal to me. The usual advice for a growth spurt is to feed, feed and feed some more. Try offering both breasts at each feed and do some breast compressions. It may help with the frequent feeding, but only may Smile

yep, sounds like it to me...give it a few days and you'll notice her sleep suits might be a bit more snug! She's trying to catch up, bless her! Smile
so I agree, feed feed feed!

Little babies change all the time, just when you think you know what the like they are doing something else.
