What happens to boobs after Breastfeeding

I am just wondering what will happen to my boobs when ds stops bfing. So far he has been bfing for 18 months and shows no interest in stopping, and I am quite happy.
The thing is, when I first started bfing I went from a 36C (Which I was happy with) to a 38DD (which I wasn't). I've never been a fan of big boobs so wanted them to shrink a bit.
Now they are about a 36/8(not sure)D and I actually quite like them this size. I am wondering if, after stopping bf, boobs go back to their original size or remain a different size?
I have heard it takes ages to have normal boobs again as the fat needs to build up in the boob again? I am wondering how long it would take to get back to normal after stopping?

hoping mine will shrink, Maisiemog - miss my old B-cup (am about 34DD now eek)

one thing for sure, they won't be pert!

I think the answer is something that miaou shouldn't tell mums-to-be to encourage them to breastfeed Grin

Mine look great in a bra its just when its off that it all goes wrong

I was slim all over and 34b before i had dd. I breastfed her for two years, my boobs were 36c when she was about 1, and then over the next year i put on weight and i went up to 38d and am still that a year after stopping feeding her. Pretty certain though that if i had managed to lose weight they would have gone down a bit in size! Now pg again, so not much chance of losing the weight!

Maise, mine are not that bad still pretty pert for the two bubs that have been livin off them!!..they will shrink... mine are at this very minute...I miss them already!!!Grin

I suppose the only way to get the fat back into them is by eating maltesers and walnut whips until they are all puffedup again. Smile

Mine went back to normal after I bf for around 2 years (ie got the fat back in them and stopped looking pitta breadesque) I bf for another 6 months. I am now exactly the same size as before pg.

Same cup size, maybe very slightly smaller, still as pert as before. Think I got off lightly.

Trying not to think of this one myself. Had a lovely pair of 34C/D's prior to becoming pregnant, lovely pert, passing the pencil test boobs one of my best features. Have been pregnant or BFing since Nov 03 hate to think what they will look like once I've stopped feeding, DP says nevermind he will buy me a corset!!

Pre ds (now 12)
I had 34 dd boobs
after having him they went to preposreous proportions-
Then post feeding him (stopped 16 mths) went to 36 F
GRRRR am slim frame so this really pissed me off#
with dd they went mad from 5 wks of pregnancy.
I had some gargantuan pre natal size
finishing feeding herself at 15 mths I am now 34 E took about 6 mths to "die down"
I'm still keen on reduction at some point though I also hate them this big

I dread to think what will happen to mine. They have gone from a 36F to a 36K and they have dropped about 4 inches. After feeds they drop further. When the milk is gone they will be tucked in my socks. I'm getting them fixed once all my children are 'finished'. I'd like to be a DD and have them about 5 inches higher.

Have had to get used to scooping boobs in to bras. Same size but all low. Could also be done for false advertising after i remove bra.

I never went back to how I was pre-bf. I'm about the same size, 34B, but the tone of the skin is different. No pertness at all. They look like small deflated balloons.

PMSL but it's true. Mine were the one thing I loved about my body. And no pencil is coming anywhere near! Just toooooo depressing. Worth it though. Smile

Mine are smaller,but not saggy! I breasfed for 10 months! Mine are still toned!

Mine are smaller, but I am smaller generally post children. Given that I'm nearly 40 and have breastfed two children they're ok.

Mine looked damn good when I was breast -feeding (having never got beyond a B) but sadly now go sideways when I lie down!
