how long until breasts settle to the size they will stay

I'm currently enjoying breastfeeding my 12 day old baby and wondered when my breasts would settle to the size they will stay for the duration of breastfeeding. I only have one nursing bra, which isn't very supportive, but I don't want to buy more until they settle in size. They are a lot bigger than last time I breastfed and when I was pregnant.

Mine varied in size for all of my 3 kids, but I found with all of them that they were fairly settled from about 10 days in. I was surprised how much difference in size there was between having 3 kids, I has assumed that they would be fairly similar each time! Happy feeding.

Mine took quite a while to settle each time. And they took over a year to settle after I finished breastfeeding!!

I would probably just buy one bra and try to wash it overnight if needed. You can wear them for quite a few days if you don't leak. Then you can buy another in a few weeks if you need to.

John Lewis or NCT are the best for bra feeding IMO.

Leaking like a sieve at the moment but have been washing bra in the evening and leaving it to dry overnight, while I sleep with a towel on my bed to soak up leaked milk during the night.

Will try to wait it out patiently for another couple of weeks until investing in more bras.

Will look on the John Lewis website for bras, never thought of them before. Worth the drive to be fitted if they have nice bras.

It took a good 6 weeks for mine to settle down with my first and you loose weight quick too so back size will change.
I think having 2 bra's, one to wash one to wear is a good idea and expect at least 6 weeks for things to settle down.
Just finished feeding my 3rd and I am back to huge sore leaky boobs, agh!

What about just buying a sleep bra now for overnight?
