My 15 week old wont feed during the day,only at night!!!

My baby is 15 weeks and is bottlefed. He only drinks between 2-4oz of milk at any feed during the day. I offer him this every 3 hours but I'm sure if I didn't he would go longer. I'm very conscious about making sure I offer enough during the day to fill up for the night!
He goes to bed at 7pm, finishes a 6oz bottle most of the time and I dream feed him at 10.30ish and he will finish another 6oz bottle. He then will wake for feeding at 1am-2am and then again at around 4-4.30am. In between he is very restless (between the hours of 1am and 5am).
At some points up until 6 weeks he could go from 10.30 til 4am, so I know he can do it! Seems to be going backwards and feeding more regularly during the night and it is beginning to take its toll!!:-(
Could it be he doesn't like his formula, so that's why by drinking in the day?help!!!!!

I think he's very young still and they change constantly. Both mine were bottle fed and I had this with DD1.

Is he falling asleep when you feed in the day, or just losing interest?

What would happen if you left it four hours? Both my dds refused to eat three hourly and are much more when left a little longer. Would it be worth leaving him an extra hour giving him a chance to get hungry. ?

Letting the baby set it's own routine can make things easier.

I found that feeding too frequently left me in a vicious snacking cycle. An oz here two oz there never happy and never hungry enough for a proper feed. Suits some babies but didn't suit mine.mine were always best left a bit longer so they actually had a decent feed and weren't fussing after an hour. And they ended up taking less milk over a 24 hr period than if I left them an extra hour and fed them. Obviously they wouldn't be left starving I wasn't mean like that they never waited for food if they were hungry. They just never were hungry enough to eat if I fed too frequently.

He seems to have got worse with it all over the last few weeks, was feeding 4 hourly but was still doing the same, so I thought if I fed 3 hourly at least I would be getting in an extra feed (2/3 oz) a day! He seems to just loose interest during the day-maybe too much going on around him?! I thought maybe about changing his milk-strange question but do they taste different(thought maybe he doesn't enjoy it?!)

Nutritionally they are all the same but they do taste different. It's just a case of finding one that agrees best with your baby. So e can take any milk others prefer to remain on a single type. Worth a try. Maybe go fur one that your friends or family are using so if he doesn't like it then you can pass it on and the money isn't wasted so much.
