Areola very painful, anyone else had this problem?

I'm bf my 10wk old dd and have very sore areola. Lanolin cream stings and causes my areole to wrinkle up. DH thinks I'm allergic to the cream. I go from having rough chapped areola for a day or two then pink and raw areola which makes feeding v painful. Had my latch checked 5+ Times by various HV all tweaked slightly. Any one else had this problem?? Does the cream help or makes things worse?

Try something different multi mam balm is lanolin free, I personally use vasaline.

I would get baby checked for tongue tie as my little on was biting on my areola causing pain!

Been told the baby and I have thrush... Explains the burning pain after feeding. So glad it should now be sorted :)
