Hello all you lucky ladies. Am v. jealous of you all. Envy

I'm not a Mum yet - I'm a regular on the Conception threads.

I've got a good feeling about this month (as I do every month), and I read a post from one pregant woman who said she'd had whitish bumps appear on her nipples, and was told by the doctor that these were milk-ducts.

I noticed some white bumps on my nipples today (sorry if TMI). I've googled it and I know about aveolas and things, but I can't actually find any photographs/diagrams.

Can any of you experts help? (Checked MN Archives too: nothing).

Thanks in advance...Smile

The milk ducts are internal, surely?? Culminating in the nipple. Perhaps the doctor was on about Montgomery's tubercules. Don't know of any pages myself, but if you use that as a search term, you might be able to find some pictures. Hope that helps.

(Didn't get this myself, by the way. Mine just got bigger. And have been expanding ever since...)

The white bumps are sebaceous glands Hopecat (keep boob skin lubricated)
The ducts are in the breast themselves. in a cross section they look like little clouds leading out to the nipple.

Thaks moondog (by rights I should be scared of you and running up a tree).

I am a bloody expert on Conception, but have avoided learning too much about later pregnancy symptoms in case it never happens.

Thanks for your kind wishes. Smile
