Anyone pregnant and breastfeeding a toddler? Poo question

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and breastfeeding my dd who is 2.6. She had dropped most of her feeds and I thought she was weaning as days could go by without her asking.

Now she is asking 2-3 times in the day and also during the night despite being night weaned for a year.

She complains of a 'funny tummy' and her poos are very loose and mustardy. Also she is up in the night much more frequently, although she has never been a good sleeper.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it due to the pregnancy, or could she have a tummy bug?

Could be your colostrum coming in, or it could be a bug. Colostrum has a laxative effect which helps a newborn to pass all the meconium.

The same happened to DD1 when I was expecting DD2. I think it's quite a common experience. It was one of the first things I was warned about anyway Grin

Thanks EauRouge - did it last until the baby was born or did they get used to the colostrum?

If it was just the loose poo I can cope, but the night feed demands and disturbed sleep are pretty hard after having a short period of sleeping well!

In some ways I hope it is a bug as at least it won't take 15 weeks to resolve
