Just wondering when your periods returned. I know everyone is different. I am ebf. Thank you.

I bf for 12 months and my periods returned 2 months after I stopped. DD wouldn't take a bottle and wasn't keen on formula in a cup either, so she pretty much had breastmilk plus solids (hardly any solids til 10/11 months though - she was slow to wean).

6 months in with my first, but breastfed her to nearly 2 years old.

Nearly 11 months with my second and no sign yet.

DoubleYew · 17/01/2013 23:21

back at 3 months, still bfing loads at 2.5yrs. He's never slept through. So the crappy end of every stick.

CaseyShraeger · 17/01/2013 23:51

9 months first time and third time, 13 months second time.

hellohellohihi · 17/01/2013 23:56

My first period came back on DD's first birthday! At that point she was still feeding 4x per day. I'm due on again now (in fact late, no, not preggers!) and no real sign. She's now feeding 2x per day only.

HappyAsASandboy · 18/01/2013 00:08

I am still breastfeeding my twins (2 years 2 months). They're still feeding 3 or 4 times per day, mostly at night, dominance feeding 6 to 8 times in total.

My periods returned when my babies were 18 months old. The same as they were before pregnancy and regular as clockwork.

It might be coincidental, but they returned two days before I went on holiday for a week by the pool Hmm If you're trying to get them to restart, maybe book a holiday?!

BrainGoneAwol · 18/01/2013 00:22

Oh dear. Up again.... And falling asleep so trying to post to stay awake.
Zzzzzzzzzz

Loislane78 · 18/01/2013 03:32

At 4 months; she's 5 months now and EBF (does not sleep through!) so feeling cheated!

Poss TMI but they've been super light and only lasted ~3 days. I don't normally have probs but for some reason was expecting the worst. Guess early days and things still settling down.

EauRouge · 18/01/2013 08:25

9 weeks the first time around, despite EBF, co-sleeping etc. The second time around was much later (can't remember exactly but was maybe 10 months?) but I'm tandem feeding so maybe that's why.

There's some info about breastfeeding and fertility here.

CitrusyOne · 19/01/2013 21:59

6 weeks. DD feeds every couple of hours in the day but only two or three times in the night. She's 12 weeks now and I just take one day at a time.

NippyDrips · 22/01/2013 16:19

I had one at 4 and one at 5 months, a bit of spotting and then nothing. Ds had a spell of sleeping through.

Gintonic · 22/01/2013 16:30

Spotting around 4 months, proper return at 6 months. He started sleeping through at 3 months, sadly didn't last, but that must be what made them come back so early.

leedy · 22/01/2013 16:44

8 months with DS1, around the point he started to take an interest in solids.

yoyo123 · 22/01/2013 16:46

8 weeks..not fair!

tuttavia · 22/01/2013 17:35

Still breastfeeding at 23 months, and still no sign of period.

HopAndSkip · 22/01/2013 17:50

5 months and no sign. Damnit I'd forgotten they'd be reappearing at some point Sad.
