Pregnant and breastfeeding causing baby diarrhea

I've just got a BFP (just over 4 weeks, so only just) but in the last 3 days my 9mo who is exclusively breastfeed (3 milk feeds and 3 solid feeds a day) has got diarrhea.

Is it connected? Nothing else has changed in her diet, she is not otherwise unwell and if anything seems a little thirstier (although that's unsurprising with the wet poos). The poos are not more frequent, 3 a day as she has always done - but very sloppy and watery.

TIA

Congrats on your pregnancy :)

Not sure if they are connected- sometimes the nursling's poo can get a bit looser when you start producing colostrum but that will be towards the end of your pregnancy. Could she have picked up a bug maybe? I don't think there's any cause for weaning, if you're happy to continue then you could just wait and see what happens.

Unlikely - she may have a bit of a tummy bug or something she's eaten has disagreed with her.

Thank you both! Today it's a bit more solid which is good. I was surprised it had lasted 3 days but as you say, perhaps just one of those things.

Thanks very much.

Dd3 started a bit looser when my colostrum came in but early on all that happened was it. 'tastes wrong.'
