Where I live? your baby is over 6 wks old Smile

suzi2 · 18/04/2006 19:32

How cute is that popsycal? My DS just enjoys screaming at my boob and pushing it away at the moment. Apparently he's "getting a bit of a personality" Grin

You know it's time to pull out the big ones in order to calm your dd after a nasty fall in the (mercifully empty) playground and would be otherwise inconsolable. She was 4. Shock

ProfYaffle · 18/04/2006 19:36

A friend recently said of other Mums she knows 'their babies are 4 or 5 months old so, obviously, they don't bf anymore' and I was shocked rigid.

PMSL Tipex - my DS does the same at his lessons! We now don't do any back floating as it's too likely I'll be exposed to all!

teacups · 18/04/2006 19:47

Popsy, my DD does this too! Sometimes she blows raspberries on my less than washboard abs though Blush.

In my bit of S london, there are a few of us who are still BF past 6 months (my dd is now 13 months too) and all is fine, except that people do view us as a bit wholemeal, hairy armpitted knit your own muesli. Suits me to a tee Grin.

Pixiefish · 18/04/2006 19:49

lol tipex.

anyone see kate garaway on gmtv this morning?
Said she bfeeds the baby while watching gmtv in the mornings

Cristina7 · 18/04/2006 20:19

DD does that too, blowing raspberries, laughing etc. Also 13 months. I don't notice any strange looks around here (SW London).

fuzzywuzzy · 18/04/2006 20:22

when I try to get dressed in the morning and dd2 yells milk milk at the sight of my undressed top half....then she proceeds to try and latch onto my bellybutton which used to be an innie pre-kids......

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2006 20:23

....you have extended breasts Shock

misdee · 18/04/2006 20:25

dd3 also 13months and pulled up my top and sucked my stomach last night, i was laughing loads.

bourneville · 18/04/2006 20:25

A HV said a heartfelt "oh, well done" when she heard I was still exclusively bf at 1 yo. I was trying to wean dd off at the time & was feeling like a failure (trying to wean i mean) so "well done" sounded very strange to me.

CKMUM · 18/04/2006 20:27

My 2 year old sometimes tries to feed from my belly button too, if I'm standing up so she can't reach my breasts. And sometimes, I have her feeding one side and her doll feeding from the other. Or if her 1 year old sister feeds at the same time, then DD1 tries to feed her doll herself!

How is Kate Garraway getting along? Must say that watching GMTV while I bf brought me out in a rash.... but then they don't pay me £200k a year Smile
