Stopped breast feeding. How to relieve hardness in breasts?

I've decided to stop bf DD. only been feeding her early morning and last feed at night recently, but now just having bottles. Is there anything I should be doing or can do to help with sore breasts. They're not unbearable as have not been feeding that much, but they are leaking a bit and are sore and a bit hard.

Thanks.

I'm no expert - one will hopefully be along soon - but hard and sore doesn't sound good.
Could you express a bit and massage them and use a warm compress? You don't want to get mastitis...

Express a tiny bit for immediate relief

Then bag of frozen peas or cabbage leaves in your bra

Needs to be cold things - warm compress will encourage milk production

Thank you. Going to express a bit off. Nothing like smelling of cabbage on Boxing Day is there?!
