Nipples sore - could DD (22months) be losing her latch?

DD still feeds in the evening, once or twice in the night, and in the morning. She'd feed like a newborn if I let her.

Over the last few days my nipples have been site when she's feeding. Could it be caused by her starting to lose her latch?

Period due?
Teething?

Yes, unlikely at this age but a lot of toddlers go through phases of having a crappy latch. Does she fidget around a lot? Sometimes they need reminding to sit still and be gentle!

No idea if period is due, I've not had one since she was born. Hope youre not right! Thanks for the replies.
