I am breast feeding my 2nd baby and fed my first untill she was 2 it got off to a very rocky start however I persevered and I am so glad that I did it was wonderful. My son is 10 months and is an absolute darling to feed no problems at all. I don't mind some of the restrictions of breast feeding like, not be able to leave him over night (unless I am at work then i have no choice) in fact that makes it more special because only I can do it nobody else is there anyone else who feels the same because all I seem to hear are the negative aspects of feeding and not the positves!

i too am proud to be breastfeeding. i have 100% bf apart from around the 6wk point when due to ds's reflux i was absolutely shattered and resorted to trying formula to thicken to try and help the reflux. i only used a few bottles of formuls and feel guilty for doin so as after i did my ds developed excema. he is 5.5m now and i started him on first tastes of solids at 5m as he was showing all signs of being ready. i had wanted to wait till 6m but he wasnt satisfied.

i am really surprised at how my feelings have changed from bfeeding. when i was pregnant i thought id do it for 6 months and i didnt like the thought of extended feeding. now i love it and am hoping to carry on till ds self weans whenever that is.

i feel so strongly about it that i am setting up a support group in my area with a qualified peer supporter. i too am proud of my home grown son with chunky legs and chubby cheeks. I LOVE IT Grin
