Baby gaining huge amounts of weight - normal ?

My son is 6 weeks old and for the last 4 weeks he has gained a massive 12 or 13oz every week! He is exclusively breastfed, never formula, he feeds for 15-20 mins at a time, feeds every 3-4 hours and sleeps for England!! Should I be worried about this rapid weight gain? - he's literally growing before our eyes x

No don't worry Xmas Smile. He is doing really well, and well done to you. It's impossible to overfeed a breastfed baby.

His weight gain will tail off at some point.

Totally agree with lady, you can't over feed a bf baby and you are doing a fantastic job Xmas Smile

Thank you :) it's just double what I read he should be gaining! My little porker. He's such a big boy now (12lb 2oz) that he no longer looks like my little newborn bundle :( x
