15 wo DD being sick every morning

My 15 wo DD is sick in the mornings during her first feed. This is fairly new, but been going on for about 2/3 weeks. I bf her and have done without a problem before, she's a good weight (15lbs at last weigh) and when I mentioned it I was told not to let her feed for ages as it could be too much milk. This hasn't made a difference.

She seems perfectly fine in herself; happy, giggly etc but when I sit her up to burp her she just projectiles it out again. If I put her back on, she will puke again and then just dribbles a puky mess!

I think the main difference is that she may be starting to teeth, everything is going in her mouth, but I'm worried she will start to lose weight or be hungry.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

Is she guzzling it so quickly? Is this feed the one with the longest time gap from the previous feed ( so it's hitting an emptier tummy compared to other feeds?)
Could be a reflux issue - my 4 yr old ( yes 4 yrs old!) cannot drink much or quickly on an empty tum - if he does he brings back up the drink and anything he was eating ( and then is fine after 2 mins).

Could be... Do you think I should express first thing and then feed her? My boobs are really swollen first thing so I'll bet that won't help.

Thanks! Grin

I think that seems like an idea worth trying, would try that for a week and you will be able to see how quickly she is drinking/ how much milk is disappearing at a rapid rate and then see if you can try to slow it down.

My DS2 was a gulping milk monster. I would have to feed for a minute then pause. Then go again. It was not fun. He was cross and my breasts didn't know if they were coming or going. But it helped.
