Who here has fallen pregnant despite breastfeeding through the night?

I've also posted this in conception.

DD is 10 months and I've just got my periods back, well 1 period so far. Cramping and cm suggest I might be ovulating, am not sure though.

I still feed DD about 6 times in 24 hours, 3 feeds of which are at night so I don't get this 6-hour bfeeding free window that seems to be so important to fall pregnant.

So the big question is, how many people on here have managed it despite quite a few night feeds?

1 here. I am nearly 20 wks with DC2 and still bfing DD who is nearly 2.

I'm 27 weeks with a 2 yr old that at the time I got pregnant was still feeding upto 3 times a night, my periods came back when she was 7 months and I've had one mmc before this pregnancy. I used ovulation sticks to track my cycle.

Me too. Dd was 9 months and still bfeeding I was also on the mini pill. I was very shocked when I found out I was pg. It took me two years to conceive dd1.

I've had my period back recently and started taking cerazette a couple of weeks ago. In still bf 10 moths old DS.
I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER ONE!

My friend was ebf her 7 month old and had a coil fitted and still fell preggers!

pud1 - that's scarey. My DD is 9 months and I don't have my periods back yet although am on the mini pill. I have thought more than once that if the mini pill were to fail before my first period that I could get to about 20 weeks pregnant before I had any idea. Yikes.

I was on Cerazette. My periods had not returned. I was taking it properly at the same time each day. I have the coil now

Me. Twice.

No periods, both DC still fed through the night.

DD much preferred milk to food and I conceived DS when she was 12 months old.
DS fed a couple of times during the day and spent all night on my boob! Conceived DC3 (due in 5 weeks) when DS was 12 months too.

Both self weaned when I was 6 months pregnant.

(This must just be how my body does it!)

Me. Fertility treatment to conceived DC1 then pregnant when she was 5mths despite EBF including at night.

Me. DS was 2 years and feeding 7-8 times a day and 1-3 times a night. My period had returned a month and a half previously.

If you've got your periods back it doesn't matter whether you're feeding every hour round the clock, you can get pregnant. Bfing definitely will not work as contraception if any of the following are true:

• your baby is more than 6 months old
• you have your periods back
• you are ever going more than 6 hours without feeding

So you've got two of those, so you can definitely get pregnant now.

19 month gap with mine, DD was feeding two hourly at night. Then again af returned at 10 weeks. I also took the MAP but DS arrived nonetheless
