Holidays, wine and breastfeeding

We go on holiday this week and I'm not saying im going out every night getting wasted but I love a glass of wine in the evening. DD (6m) will be with us and is breastfed as well as BLW. Basically, can I have a glass of wine in the evening on holiday (yes, probably every night) or is that really bad for her? I've read if you feed then have a drink whilst having a meal that's better for baby but I just don't want to risk it if it's actually really bad every night please say its ok thanks.

I just want to say, I don't drink at the moment! Too scared! Just really fancied a wine on holiday.

Only you can decide, but my understanding is that recent studies have found that low levels of drinking has no effect on bf babies. I frequently drank 1 glass of wine a night when ebf and did not worrry about it based on information I had read. I did try to drink after a feed - usually if I waited until after bedtime feed there would be a gap of 4-6 hours before a night feed. If you would be happy to drive, you're probably fine to feed IMO.

Thank you, everything I've read says it should be fine but I just wanted to get some opinions! Having not really had a drink yet, I just feel a bit Confused. Thank you though, reassuring to hear someone else's experience.

Yes you can have wine! I am Swedish and follow the official advice given to BF mothers in Sweden. Namely, that drinking a couple glasses of wine is fine while BF.
The amount of alcohol in breast milk after drinking a glass of wine is the same amount that is in about two decilitres of yoghurt.
Have a nice vacation!

It's fine drink away. You'd need to drink a lot for it to matter.
