Weaning from breast to bottle - advice please

9 week old daughter has taken bottle at 10pm from DH and am now trying to introduce bottle midmorning as have loads of work commitments in the next 3 months which require me to be away for more than a day, hence trying to get her to take formula. However, she screamed blue murder yesterday and today. Please can anybody give me some tips on how to make this easier.

I have exactly the same problem, he went to childminder today and chose not to eat for four hours rather than take formula!! Anybody got any advice, all welcome.

Have you tried EBM in a bottle to get her used to the bottle first?

I found Mam teats to be the best

deffo mam teats, i used one that gave too much mmilk. when i moved him down a size ds really managed better. other than that, persistence. just keep going. took me a month to get my 8 month old onto daytime formula feeds. dropped a feed at a time, until i realised he was just waiting for the next one. so i dropped the next one too and he got the hint. started at an ounce every hour for a few days then suddenl;y one day realised he was enjoying himself and drained half a bottle. no looking back since. you will crack it. keep going, good luck.

Look here- \link{http://www.infantcaredirect.co.uk/acatalog/Breastfeeding_Support_Products.html\this} some good tips for moving from Breast to bottle by Playtex who specialise in prodcuts that support breastfeeding/breastfed babies you will need to scroll down a bit. I used their latex teat as its really soft and breast like.
Also agree with The Blonde EBM a good idea to start.

Sounds really silly, but what is EBM, I have never heard of it. Am not up to date really, son is 3 months old, was taking a bottle until 7 weeks when we stopped for two weeks, now there seems to be no hope of him ever going back!!!

oh yeah, der!!! Feel really silly now!! Was expressing until that 2 weeks when we stopped and now I can't do it anymore, have tried all the different methods and it was stressing me out too much so now trying formula!!
Thanks for explaining, who would have thought I am director of a company, where is my brain??
