Why do babies have a favourite boob?

Im currently breastfeeding dd who is coming up to 7 months, and she will not take my right boob - she loves my left though! my ds1 and ds2 were the same with exactly the same side, and now i have to accept that at some point in the next few months dd will stop bfeeding and im going to be left with mega-floppy wonky sized boobs and im only 26, do all babies have a favourite size? if so do all mums have wonky boobs??

I feed ds on my right side practically exclusively and was the same with my other two children. It just feels easier with him lying across my lap like that. I feed him left side usually only once in the day as it can start to feel full. At night its pretty much equal as I move him from side to side according to the position I am lying in. Right boob is a bit bigger but not hugely so.

dd1 didn't have a preference but dd2 it was the right hand side, she really used to fuss on the left. No idea why. I did a thread about it once somewhere, will try and find it.

I used to feed on the right and pump with my hand on the left to take some of the milk off, then she used to be a bit better to latch on.

I'm left handed. Since starting bf my right boob has always had more milk. Had too much milk at first so often ended up feeding more on the left as right side was too engorged, (it would come out too fast and choke dd), then would have a big expressing session on right. R boob got stretch marks, so think it's stretched and permanently bigger. Since I started weaning and my milk reduced, have tended to feed more on the right side as I wouldn't remember which side i fed from last, would just feel which was bigger and do that one. Of course it was always the right one. Since dd started teething and chomping down, have found left side too sensitive, right side is more numb & somehow more comfy to hold her on that side. dd is now 18mth and have been bf exclusively on right side for a while. L boob small, R boob bigger & pendulous! V noticeable sometimes! But never mind, our boobs tell a story. It would be boring if we were all barbie dolls! hhave to admit though, i do somtimes feel self conscious when it's noticeable. I'm 34 so not as nubile as I was anyway! I would say I have a side preference, rather than dd, but could still be to do with positioning, as well as fact r boob always made more milk.

My dd likes my left boob. She won't even touch the right one anymore and she makes a right fuss if I try and get her to take it. Thankfully, she's only feeding a couple of times a day now so my boobs aren't totally different in size, atleast not from where I can see them anyway! Oh, and I'm right-handed.
