without messing up BF?

DD is only 12 days old. We've had a few hiccups BF but its improving every day and going well now.

I am in my second year at uni and worried about how much I am missing. DH is at home so childcare is not an issue but I need to leave one feed for her. I can feed her just before I leave and get him to come and meet for lunch so I can feed her then.

I dont want to introduce it to soon and cause confusion.

Midwife said at least 4 weeks but that's a lot of missed uni!

You are supposed to wait till at least three weeks, so I would give it another few days.

The current recommendation is actually 6 Weeks. although if feeding is going well 4 Weeks maybe ok. But you can always try cup feeding at this age if you really need to leave her google it for some videos.

They lap up the milk a bit like a cat. it's much less likely to case a problem with breastfeeding as they are using the same action to get the milk.

You could also have a read on kellymom website for some more info.
