DS who is 12mths wont drink cows milk. I have tried in a beaker, bottle, cup , nothing works. He just doesnt seem to like the taste ad formula is just silly expensive. He still has 2 bottles a day, one in the morning and one at night. I and gradully reduce th amoutn of formula I am giving so that he gets use to the taste of cows milk but she said you cant do that....so now we have switched to SMA Progress. Any ideas?

I mixed part formula and part cows milk over about a week. Not sure why you can't/shouldn't do that.

I don't see why you can't do that -- personally I'd be inclined to ignore the HV.

I mixed it too.

make up say 6 oz of formula with water then top it up with 2 oz milk for a couple of days .. then increase milk to formula ratio until its all milk

I mixed the two with mostly formula to start with and gradually put more cows milk in. Did this over about a fortnight and started using just cows milk in ds's breakfast porridge or on weetabix.

Don't know why you shouldn't mix the two although it's probably not a good idea to mix it and then store it all day.

I would just try him on a bottle of cows milk on it's own, he might surprise you and happily swig it down! Only if he's not keen on the taste would I bother with mixing etc...
