Buying yet more new bras - I hope not!

How long does it take for boobs to return to 'normal' size after stopping bfing? dd has started giving me the occasional nip, and eyeing up her bb's beaker of fridge milk, so I think it won't be long now...

Unfortunately cows milk bounces right back up again when she has it, so I don't know what will replace bm. But that's another story.

prettycandles, how old is your DD? My DS2 gave up b/feeding at 16 months and never has and probably never will take any b/milk substitute, formula or cows milk, he is a substantial boy and doesn't seem to be suffering from lack of milk to drink (he does eat yoghurt/fromage frais and cheese but no more than my DS1 who drinks cows milk did at the same age). As for when boobs return to their normal size, who knows??? About 10 weeks on I am starting to feel the need for new bras a smaller cup size but I don't know if I will reduce again, would be nice though.

dd has just turned one. She's definitely 'substantial'. She tends to feed 3-4 times a day, and if I don't feed her mid-am or mid-pm she needs a very large snack, otherwise she gets frantic with hunger. This child can put away at a snack as much as her 3yo bb can eat at one meal! Also, in the morning she can't last from the time she wakes until breakfast without a feed. So I think she'll need a bm substitute. We're trying her on goats' milk, and so far (5 days) she seems ok on it.

As for my boobs, they never went down again after ds, but I liked them being two cupsizes bigger then they had been. But they're now nearly two cupsizes bigger than that, which I'm not so keen on (dh doesn't object ), especially as decent bras are hard to find and expensive.

Oh the joys of motherhood.

ps Hope you're having a nice Xmas! Can't believe I'm logging on now, but dh is watching Only Fools and Horses...
