Thrupenny Bits breastfeeding pillow for rugby ball position?

For various reasons I'm feeding DD, aged 9.5 weeks, in the rugby ball position on the right side - feeding in cradle hold on the left. Sometimes she doesn't open her mouth wide enough in the rugby hold and I think it's because she's not high enough - when I put her on a pillow she's much better, but it's not practical to take a big pillow with me when I'm not at home so want to get a breastfeeding pillow. I've read good reviews of the Thrupenny Bits pillow, that it's very portable and comfortable but all the pictures I've seen of it have been of the cradle hold so was just wondering if anyone's used it for the rugby ball hold, don't want to buy it and find it's no use to me! TIA.

It's been over 7 years since i last breastfed, but used to feed my son and daughter in this position, especially if the boobs were tender! I've not seen the cushion to which you refer but would think that anything that gives support to holding the baby in position would be ok. I personally used a pillow to prop DS/DD on but if out and about and they needed feeding i would revert back to the cradle posistion. I also found that as the baby gets bigger, it becomes a little harder to maintain the rugby hold as there is a certain element of the baby being behind you and as they get longer they're more squashed up at the back with legs touching chair/sofa, so will often push there legs against chair and move around more :)
