Possible blocked duct and white spot on nipple

Hi there,

Last night I had what I think might of been a blocked duct - at about 3 am it felt like there was a large solid area in my right breast, which I then massaged like crazy with the heel of my hand. It has gone this morning. However, there is still a white spot on my nipple on the top side of the suspected blocked duct. I thought it might be 'solidified' milk (if there is such a thing!) but when I squeeze my breast milk comes out through that part, but the white spot remains. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on a) what it is, b) how to get rid of it, and c) how to make sure I don't get the 'blocked duct' again (if that is what it was)?

I have no white spots anywhere else and the last thing I did before going to bed was express milk ready for when he woke up (110 ml), I expressed with a double pump for just over 30 minutes, finishing at around 11 pm (this is to catch the last let down).

Thanks
