Just want to know before i go out and buy some. We've been using avent bottles but told the MAM ones r better for colicky babies, but don't want to mess about buying new steriliser too.

yes you can.it says on them that are suitable

matnanplus · 16/03/2006 11:57

yes you can but you will not be able to fit 6 in.

other systems that are good for colicy babies are platyex, dr browns or tommee tippee health check.

Yes I've been using the Avent steriliser for Mam bottles - I can only fit in 3 at a time though.

cuffyj1 can I just hijack quickly?? I have the avent microwave steriliser but lost instructions in the year since I last used it - you couldn't just tell me if it's 5oz water and five mins on high?? or am I guessing??
Sorry - don't want to poison new baby too soon after arrival!

Express Microwave Steam Steriliser

The Express Microwave Steriliser gives you the same benefits of steam sterilisation using the power of your microwave. Just add 200ml of water and heat in the microwave to sterilise up to 4 AVENT bottles and accessories in under 8 minutes.

Sterilisation times:

4 mins for 1100-1850W microwaves
5 mins for 850-1000W microwaves
8 mins for 500-800W microwaves

matnanplus - thank you so much!
that's 7oz so probably would have exploded all the bottles if I'd guessed!
cheers Smile
