Best teats/bottles to get baby off boob

Hello

I need to get my DS off my boob and onto bottles, but he is having none of it. I have tried Tommie Tippee, Avent and Nuby bottles/teats to no avail. I have tried Aptimil and C&G formula. Someone said Nuk bottles are good, but if i keep trying everything, I'm going to spend a fortune:(

What are others experiences?

I need to get him onto bottles for a medical reason (mine, I need tests and BF alters hormonal balance and they need a clear result) My ds is 4months

Many thanks x

Am in exactly the same position ( well not medical reason)am having very limited success with a mam anti colic teat. They will fit in a avent ring.as in she screams a ring but less and latches on sine times before screaming
I feel your pain!

these get quite good reviews by amazon customers though I haven't tried them. I was thinking of buying some for my DS (8 wks) when I start to express, though I'm not sure if they're compatible with any other brand of bottle. I have asked MNetters though haven't received any replies yet.

forgot to mention that they are available in slow medium and fast flow

Nuk are closest to nipple according to the nurses in SCBU when my DD was there. Also a couple of my NCT group have told me that Nuk was the only teat that their previously ebf babies would take.

The nuk wide teats fit an Avent bottle.

We've had exactly the same situation and problems. Needing to get onto bottles due to my health issues and medication needed and dd is 5 month.
Tried every bottle going and have found the mam bottles the only one that dd would take straight away with no fuss. The teat is slightly flatter then tt ans avent etc and has a slight matted/non slip patch o the teat.
And she can go from bottle straight onto boob aswell with no problem.

definatley Worth a try. I bought one for about a fiver from boots as I was at my wits end and fedup with the collection of bottles going off In my kitchen cupboard!

I'm struggling too! Mine is 4.5 mo and won't actually suck a bottle. I've tried every one on the market (except Mam) and she will take 1oz from the Nuk. However, this is just by biting the teat and the milk flows freely!

Please can anyone tell me if the Mam teat is free flowing or does the baby need to latch on and suck?

I want to stop BF when I wean her at 6mo but am starting to panic as I can't see how she'll manage to consume her milk requirement from a sippy cup! If anyone has experienced this already, I would love some advice please.

I've already delayed going back to work and can't afford to delay any longer!! Sad

We are having the same problem, tried everything we can possibly think of Nuk, Tommy Tippee, Avent, First Year, Cow and Gate starter packs with there own teat, breastmilk, Cow and Gate, actimal, SMA. With no look, so if anybody finds a solution out there I would love to hear about it.
