Feel like baby feeds better at home then when we are out?

I went on a shopping trip yesterday. My 3 week old seemed unsettled the whole time :( when I stopped to feed she seemed to keep coming off and fidgeting to go back on again she also didn't sleep at all and jus cried in the pram but when we got home seemed to feed better ? Am I going to mess up my supply by going out if she is not having a proper feed? I have two older children who need to get out as they are so bored my Dp is back at work now plus I feel I need the fresh air and get away from these 4 Walls.

I expect that she is just picking up that you are not so relaxed. Try somewhere like the park with no one around and the older 2 playing.

could be baby picking up on you feeling anxious and also some babies are easily distracte, mine were, even from a young age. they do feed tho and i doubt a few feeds out and about each day will affect your supply. if baby is hungry she will make up for it later. have you tried using a muslin or something to give her a bit of cover/shade when she feeds?

also dont know what the weather is like with you but it was hot here yesterday and some babies will be unsettled when its hot.

have you tried a good sling, she may sleep in that and you can feed in a sling as well, moby wraps are good :)

maybe practise just sitting n your garden to feed her, so you are out but can relax as elder children play?

Hello yes I cover up etc but thinking about it I was a bit stressed as was school shoe shopping so u can imagine what that was like! But she was better today at the park much happier!

oh yes the stress of shoe shopping, i did that earlier in the week!

glad she was better today, she is still very little and just learning as well, hope it continues to improve for you :)

and if you feel stressed, maybe focus on something, relax your breathing and your shoulders so you are not tense, exhale a few times etc, am sure that will help baby feel more relaxed :)
