Any tips on getting BF baby to take a bottle?

DD is 9 weeks and we can't get her to take a bottle at all. Have been trying half heartedly since 5 weeks but started attempting one every night a few nights ago to no avail. Have tried both EBF and formula. She won't take a soother either. I leave the room or house and DH battles with the bottles. Using tommee tippee bottles. Worst times she gags and throws up but mostly she just cries which breaks my heart. I really want her to take just one bottle a day, any tips???

hi.

no tips really as my 18week dd wont take bottle either! but, from 8 weeks we have used a doidy cup with some (limited sucess).
can i ask why you want her to have one bottle a day though? are you soon returning to work or similar or just want some alone time?!! from about 6-7 weeks i have managed to leave dd with dp for 1-2 hours without a feed. i always leave some just in case but she never takes it. now at 18 weeks i can leave them for 3 or so hours and they are fine!!!!!

Will be returning to work part time in October but would also like to be able to leave her for more than an hour or two at s time. Have a wedding and a hen in September and would just like the option of not nipping back to BF when the time comes. Really want to get back into Pilates too and I wouldn't be able to relax if I thought DH could be at home with her screaming and out toddler too.

Persistence is what paid off for us; we tried a bottle before each feed and experimented with different teats/flows. If she's gagging then she might need a slower flow.

Just like you, I found one bottle a day gave me a bit of flexibility and worked very well.
