I've done it all wrong! When will my Jordan boobs go away?!

Hello,
I have just stopped breastfeeding ds2 - he's 17mths. We were only feeding at night, then I stopped over night, then day before yesterday we said 'bye bye' to mummy's milk. He seems to be coping ok - a few cross tears at bedtime but then 'bye bye'. So quite happy on that front!
But, my boobs HURT. They have swelled up MASSIVELY and ow, ow, ow.
Doing some research on internet, I realise I somehow have not cut down slowly enough... but I don't really want to re-introduce a bf as I think it would confuse ds.

How long will it go on for?
Am going to do warm bath later, and send dh out for cabbage leaves.
Sigh. Thanks for any advice.

I think you can express a little bit (maybe an ounce?) just to relieve pressure, without making your boobs feel like they have to produce more.

I have never expressed! Though, I will do some hand expressing in the bath later. That helped yesterday.

I only hand express!

Ha ha, realised how silly that sounded!! But I meant have never done an ounce... Expressing in the bath (and/or bouncing on the trampoline!) has done it. They are getting more normal. More bearable anyways. Thanks!
