When people say the best time to express is in the morning, do you mean before or after baby has had a feed?

It depends really. Quite often my DS only wants one side so I pump the other. But even if I pump before a feed he always seems to get plenty of milk. Your breasts are never completely empty but may be fuller sometimes such as mornings so pumping will yield more than at other times. Your baby will always be able to get milk out no matter how empty you might feel if that makes sense?

I feed DS from one side first and pump the other - my record is 200ml from one side after he'd slept through 8-8!
