Anyone's baby dramatically reduced milk at 4/5 months?

Hi,
My ds2 was bf then ff from 11 weeks, and he is now 21 weeks. He has been great and always guzzled his milk no problems and really quickly (8oz) however, over the last few weeks he has become increasingly fussy to feed, over taking an hour to get 4-6oz down, where he will only feed if I'm walking around whilst I'm feeding. Also some feed he'll only have 3oz. At 16 weeks he went from 7am-7pm no problem and now he wakes in the night for a feed which isn't surprising an his consumption is half, often only having 15/16oz over 24hr period.

I tried weaning on advice from hv 6 days ago, but this made him really unsettled and just didn't agree with him, he was up most of the night with what I can only think was tummy ache, poor little man! So yesterday we went back to just milk.

My worry is if he continues to have so little milk, his weight may suffer.

Has anyone else been through this? My ds1 had reflux so it was all a very different experience, whereas ds2 has been very straightforward until now.

are you using the fastest teat? I had mine on the fast flow before the age guide suggested on the teat packet.

Good thought, sometimes you need someone else to point out the obvious! Thank youSmile

My ds2 has dramatically dropped his milk now, taking 2-3 oz every 4 hrs and it takes about an hour to get that down. Since 5am this morning until now 10pm he's had 8 oz......... I've tried darkened room, walking around, etc. Don't know what to do.....???? Confused
